Anna Fehr

Anna Fehr (she/her) is an emerging artist based in Edmonton, Alberta. Working as both an acrylic painter and printmaker. Her work explores the varying perspectives from different positionalities— How experiences shape how individuals perceive the world, themselves, and others around them. Her artistic research focuses on themes of connection, the human experience, and perception, specifically on how lived experiences can lead two people to perceive the same thing differently. Primarily using depictions of her own body and human experience to provoke reflection, her work encourages viewers to consider how their lived experiences shape their perceptions of themselves, others, and the world. She asks viewers to consider how societal standards have impacted their connections with others, and to witness perspectives and voices from those who may challenge their own.

Anna is currently studying in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Program at MacEwan University, majoring in Studio Arts. Her most recent work, Deck of Perceptions, will appear in the group exhibition Bowers at the Mitchell Art Gallery within MacEwan University in April 2026.

My artistic process

Every work I create begins with research connected to fellow artists, perceptions, and other themes I am working with, such as stories, the body, and human experiences.
